Except for its external enclosure and user interface, Micronet's VDT320 Mobile Data Terminal is a completely re-designed version of the original Net-960 model. The new VDT320 is built on the same powerful computing platform (386EX, DOS O/S), yet is much more cost effective because of its modularity. Various optional features can be defined and customized on a 'per-order' basis. Such features include optional Communication ports, Memory expansion, External peripheral support, I/O control signals, Power (12V/24V), and GPS & GPRS (including TCP/IP stack and optional voice support).
The product's user interface offers an extended full graphic display with backlight, a unique "one-touch" control knob, a cell phone style alpha-numeric keypad and standard serial ports to connect external devices like: AVL unit, "QWERTY" Keyboard, Printer, Data Logger, Dallas Reader, Bar-code Wand, Card reader, etc. |
